Sumario: | The purpose of this paper is to present the main ideas that govern the technicist pedagogy, with the objective of initially knowing the epistemological approaches that govern this theory, as well as the psychological ones, in addition to knowing if this pedagogy is still present today. Therefore, we begin by exploring the historical background, being Taylorism and Fordism, bases of this pedagogy, which were developed at the time of the second industrial revolution. Likewise, we present the philosophical foundations such as empiricism and positivism; the psychological foundations such as behaviorism, fundamental in behavioral change, present in this pedagogy. Subsequently, we point out the characteristics of technicist pedagogy based on the works of different authors. Finally, as part of the conclusions we state that this type of pedagogy was initially designed to train from school the future agents of the industrial process, which could be replaced, which pieces by other workers, however, in the middle of the mid-twentieth century, this perspective changed so that this new approach tries to solve the problems of education, especially of the popular masses, because there was a social demand from them. |
