The purpose of this paper is to present the main ideas that govern the technicist pedagogy, with the objective of initially knowing the epistemological approaches that govern this theory, as well as the psychological ones, in addition to knowing if this pedagogy is still present today. Therefore, we begin by exploring the historical background, being Taylorism and Fordism, bases of this pedagogy, which were developed at the time of the second industrial revolution. Likewise, we present the philosophical foundations such as empiricism and positivism; the psychological foundations such as behaviorism, fundamental in behavioral change, present in this pedagogy.
