The study seeks to test the hypothesis that there is a direct correlation between the number of National System Researchers members and full-time professors with the remuneration of knowledge generated by universities. Thus, the study updates data from the measurement of universities in these areas from 2005 to 2010 to see their evolution in 2014 and 2019. This allows generating an interpretation of the level of impact of institutional support for the real generation of knowledge in the country.El presente artículo tiene como finalidad presentar la relación existente entre el tipo de universidad con su soporte institucional para la investigación, miembros del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores y profesores de tiempo completo, con respecto a la cantidad de publicaciones que realizan y las revistas que producen. El estudio busca comprobar la hipótesis de que existe una correlación directa entre el número de miembros SIN y profesores de tiempo completo con la retribución del conocimiento que generan las universidades. Así el estudio actualiza datos de la medición de las universidades en estos rubros del año 2005 a 2010 para ver su evolución en los años 2014 y 2019.
