The study is classified as qualitative, descriptive and exploratory. It was realized a study of seven tools for the identification of risk with the study of the literature on this subject. The principal results are the identification of the attributes of each tool and the risk matrix of this study case. The theoretical value of this work is the systematization of risk tools, and the practical value is focused on determining actions to mitigate risks in the Cuban case study, and also learning lessons after the initial application of the selected tool.El objetivo de este artículo es valorar la relevancia de la gestión de riesgos en cadenas de suministro. En este sentido, se seleccionó un grupo de herramientas para análisis y evaluación del riesgo, y se las aplicó en un proceso de partes interesadas de una cadena inmobiliaria cubana, mediante el método de caso de BestLog. El estudio se clasifica como cualitativo, descriptivo y exploratorio. Se realizó un estudio de siete herramientas para el análisis de los riesgos, además de la revisión de la literatura sobre el tema. Los resultados fundamentales son la aplicación práctica de un grupo de las herramientas previamente estudiadas y los análisis derivados que confirmaron la utilidad del enfoque de riesgos en la gestión de las cadenas de suministro.
