description Objective: To determine the relationship between frustration tolerance and resilience in university students in Lima, Peru. A set of statistical analyses was employed to examine the relationship between resilience (R) and frustration tolerance (FT) in university students, as well as the variations of these variables according to demographic and academic characteristics. Spearman's r test was used for inferential analysis, with a rho = 0.65, and the statistical signifcance value was p < 0.01. Results: Resilience, measured as a single dimension, had a mean of 5.46 (SD = 0.81), with values ranging from 2.68 to 7. Regarding frustration tolerance, which was evaluated in dimensions, the following means were reported: in the personal dimension, the mean was 2.24 (SD = 0.36); in the work dimension, the mean was 2.20 (SD = 0.30); in the social dimension, 2.22 (SD = 0.30); and in the family dimension, 2.33 (SD = 0.37). Conclusions: There are significant correlations between resilience and frustration tolerance, both in general terms and in the specific personal and work dimensions.

Determinar la relación entre la tolerancia a la frustración y la resiliencia en estudiantes universitarios de Lima (Perú). Métodos. Se aplicó un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño correlacional simple y transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 316 estudiantes universitarios, a quienes se aplicó la escala de tolerancia a la frustración (ETF) y la escala de resiliencia (RS). Se empleó un conjunto de análisis estadísticos para examinar la relación entre la resiliencia (R) y la tolerancia a la frustración (TF) en estudiantes universitarios, así como las variaciones de estas variables según características demográficas y académicas. Para el análisis inferencial se utilizó la prueba r de Spearman, con un rho = 0,65, y el valor de significancia estadística fue de p < 0,01. Resultados. La resiliencia, medida como una única dimensión, presentó una media de 5,46 (DE = 0,81), con valores que varían entre 2,68 y 7. En cuanto a la tolerancia a la frustración, cuya evaluación se desglosó en dimensiones, se reportó las siguientes medias: en la dimensión personal, la media fue de 2,24 (DE = 0,36); en la laboral, la media fue de 2,20 (DE = 0,30); en la social, 2,22 (DE = 0,30); y en la familiar, 2,33 (DE = 0,37). Conclusiones.
