Results. there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and teacher competitiveness, since the p-value found was 0 and the value of the Spearman correlation coefficient was 0.930. Conclusions. Emotional intelligence is a highly reliablepredictor of competitiveness and teaching capacity, therefore, permanent training programs must be implemented to strengthen such capacities within a framework of sustainability and educational progress. Objetivo. Determinar la relación entre inteligencia emocional y competitividad en docentes de instituciones emblemáticas de la provincia de Tarma, Métodos. Enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básica, nivel correlacional, la muestra fue no probabilística intencional y estuvo conformada por 120 directivos y docentes de 02 instituciones emblemáticas. Resultados. Existe relación significativa entre inteligencia emocional y competitividad docente, puesto que p-valor hallado fue de 0 y el valor del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman fue de 0.930. Conclusión. La inteligencia emocional es un predictor altamente fiable de la competitividad y capacidad docente, por tanto, deben implementarse programas de capacitación permanentes, que permitan fortalecer tales capacidades dentro de un marco de sostenibilidad y progreso educativo. Objetivo. Determinar a relação entre inteligência emocional e competitividade nos professores das instituições emblemáticas da província de Tarma, Métodos. Abordagem quantitativa, tipo básico, nível correlacional, a amostra era intencionalmente não-probabilística e consistia de 120 gerentes e professores de 02 instituições emblemáticas. Resultados. Existe uma relação significativa entre inteligência emocional e competitividade dos professores, uma vez que o valor de p encontrado foi 0 e o valor do coeficiente de correlação de Spearman foi 0,930. Conclusão.
