In that sense, they were applied the Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) of Buss and Perry and the Emotional Intelligence Inventory of Bar-On. The results show the existence of significant and inverse correlation of emotional intelligence with aggression in general and its factors (verbal aggression, physical aggression, hostility and anger).El presente estudio tuvo por objetivo analizar la relación entre la inteligencia emocional y la agresión en estudiantes de secundaria. Se seleccionó de manera aleatoria una muestra de 567 estudiantes ( hombres y mujeres) de 12 a 17 años de edad de cinco instituciones educativas estatales de la ciudad de Trujillo. En ese sentido, se les aplicó el Cuestionario de Agresión (AQ) de Buss y Perry y el Inventario de Inteligencia Emocional de Bar-On.
