Sumario:The aim of this article shows the factors that encourages tolerance of street sexual harassment. For the study, a mixed, explanatory, quantitative-qualitative sequential design was used, with qualitative predominance. The participants were 292 women aged between 19 and 28 years; In the quantitative phase, the Street Sexual Harassment Scale (SHS) was used, in the qualitative phase, focus groups were applied with 32 participants. The main results indicate that the experiences of sexual harassment lived mostly are of express, verbal harassment and persecutions; Five factors were found that would be favoring ASC tolerance and contributing to its normalization.
