A self-administered survey was used, which Consists of two sections: 1) Formative aspects: general data, information about the courses taught by the university, access to bibliographic information, resident tutoring, clinical training, research training and 2) Comprehensive perception: curriculum evaluation, aspects to improve during residence. Results: female sex predominated among residents with 63.64%. 45.45% of residents were informed about the courses that were taught. 100% had access to the digital library but only 15% consulted it. 87.88% knew their tutor and 57.58% performed academic-clinical activities partially specific to their specialty with their tutor. The research was deficient in the residents of the hospital headquarters. In relation to the curricular evaluation, only 33.33% considered it objective. The aspects to be improved were the increase in external rotations by 78.779% and thesis advice by 57.58%. The general perception of the Medical Resident Program was positive and subjective in 72.72%. The data obtained will allow the development of a Higher Teaching Quality Management Plan.Objetivo: Describir la Percepcion del Residentado Medico en hospitales de EsSalud. Materiales y Metodos: Se realizo un estudio descriptivo, prospectivo en residentes del primer año de todas las especialidades en: Hospital Nacional Carlos Alberto Seguin Escobedo y en el Hospital de Yanahuara-Essalud desde Octubre a Diciembre 2018. Se utilizo una encuesta autoadministrada, la que consto de dos secciones:1) Aspectos formativos: datos generales, información sobre los cursos que dicta la universidad, acceso a la información bibliográfica, tutoría de residentes, formación clínica, formación en investigación y 2) Percepción integral: evaluación curricular, los aspectos a mejorar durante la residencia. Resultados: el sexo femenino predomino entre los residentes con un 63.64% . Un 45.45% de los residentes estaban informados sobre los cursos que se dictaban. El 100% tenia acceso a la biblioteca digital pero solo un 15% la consultaba. El 87.88% conocían a su tutor y 57.58% realizaban actividades académico-clinicas parcialmente especificas de su especialidad con su tutor. La investigación fue deficiente en los residentes de las sedes hospitalarias. En relación a la evaluacion curricular solo un 33.33% consideraron que era objetiva. Los aspectos a mejorar fueron el incremento de las rotaciones externas en un 78.779% y la asesoría de tesis en 57.58%. La percepción general del Programa de Residentado Medico fue positiva y subjetiva en un 72.72%.
