A self-administered survey was used, which Consists of two sections: 1) Formative aspects: general data, information about the courses taught by the university, access to bibliographic information, resident tutoring, clinical training, research training and 2) Comprehensive perception: curriculum evaluation, aspects to improve during residence. Results: female sex predominated among residents with 63.64%. 45.45% of residents were informed about the courses that were taught. 100% had access to the digital library but only 15% consulted it. 87.88% knew their tutor and 57.58% perfor...

To determine the Cortisol levels in patients with renal pathology in hospitalization and Emergency areas correlated to sound contamination.Material and Methods: A prospective and correlational study was performed, whereas Pearson correlation coefficient was used. In addition, noise was determined with the Casella sound level meter and cortisol concentration with the Immuno-Chemo-lumidity test. Cortisol concentration was 23.58 µg/dl in Emergency patients and 12.94 µg/dl in hospitalization patients. There as a significant difference (p<0.05). Emergency noise pollution was 61.94 dB (A) and 55.10 dB(A) in Hospitalization, establishing a significant difference (p<0.05). The relationship between Cortisol concentration and noise pollution in emergency and hospitalization patients as examined, and it was found that the higher the Cortisol concentration, the higher the noise level, with a...

The traffic accidents are a serious public health problem in Peru. They are the third overall mortality cause and the first among young adults. Traffic accidents are placed at the top of the list. Aside from causing injuries and the loss of man hours at work, these accidents bring about emotional distress to affected individuals. Our objective was to identify personal factors associated with the presence of PTSD in victims of traffic accidents attended by the SOAT system. For this, we devised this study is an observational cross-analytical prospective. The sample was chosen using selection criteria. The instrument used was the Davidson Trauma Scale, a psychometric instrument. Results from this study show some interesting characteristics from subjects involved in traffic accidents such as the fact that victims are mostly women with an elementary education level and without a partner by the t...
