| Sumario: | Introduction: Burns constitute a global public health problem with high morbidity and mortality. Despite advances in management, metabolic, infectious and scar complications continue to represent a challenge. Objective: To describe the main clinical and surgical advances in the comprehensive approach to the burn patient, with emphasis on regenerative medicine strategies, tissue bioengineering and translational approaches. Methodology: A narrative review was performed by searching biomedical databases without time restriction, selecting studies on reconstructive surgery, cell therapy, tissue bioengineering and translational approaches in burns management. Results: Advanced strategies in resuscitation, ventilation and metabolic support were analyzed, highlighting the impact of fluid optimization, protective ventilation and specialized nutrition. Innovations in reconstructive surgery include cell therapy with stem cells and laser techniques for scar management. Conclusion: The future of burn management requires the integration of regenerative medicine, bioengineering and translational approaches. Interdisciplinary research is key to improving the survival and quality of life of burn patients.
