Likewise, cross-sectional studies, cohort studies, case-control studies, andrandomized controlled clinical studies were included. Literature reviews, systematic reviews and metaanalyses, letters to the editor and Book chapters were excluded; and no restriction on years of publication was made. A total of 31 articles were identified in the databases. Subsequently, two researchers independently selected the articles by searching the titles and reading the abstracts and duplicates. Finally, four articles were included in the literature review. Conclusion: Children with high levels of emotional intelligence could present less anxiety and cope better with dental procedures.Objetivo: Recolectar información relacionada a la Inteligencia Emocional (IE) y su asociación con la ansiedad dental en niños. Materiales y Métodos: Se realizó la búsqueda de artículos en las bases de datos de Scopus, Pubmed, SciELO y Google Scholar. Los descriptores utilizados fueron “Inteligencia Emocional”, “Ansiedad Dental” y “Niño”. Fueron incluidas las publicaciones en idioma inglés, español y portugués. Asimismo, se incluyeron estudios transversales, de cohorte, estudios de casoscontrol,y estudios clínicos aleatorizados controlados. Fueron excluidas las revisiones de literatura, revisiones sistemáticas y metaanálisis, cartas al editor y capítulos de libro; y no se realizó una restricción de años de publicación. Un total de 31 artículos fueron identificados en las bases de datos. Posteriormente, dos investigadores seleccionaron los artículos de forma independiente mediante los títulos y lectura de los resúmenes y duplicados. Finalmente, cuatro artículos fueron incluidos en la revisión de literatura.
