A total of 18,723 women are controlled in the family planning program in a number of medical centers. 57 per cent of all patients are under injectable contraceptive methods.La Asociación Peruana de Protección de la Familia es una organización sin fines de lucro fundada en 1967 para desarrollar actividades orientadas a la mejora de la familia. Se consideran en un enfoque de la salud y el bienestar a la paternidad responsable. Las medidas sanitarias están dirigidas a los niños hasta la edad escolar y madres en todas las etapas de la maternidad. Servicios asociados de control del cáncer ginecológico, la esterilidad y un amplio programa educativo son parte de las actividades generales.
