Sumario:We report the case of a 32-year-old multigestational woman with 18 weeks ofgestation hospitalized for hyperemesis gravidarum. She was admitted with signsof dehydration, weight loss (8.8%) and suffered fetal loss. There was evidence ofimpaired consciousness, horizontal and vertical nystagmus and ataxia. A braintomography without contrast showed no alterations. Wernicke's encephalopathywas diagnosed and thiamine was replaced, with a slow and favorable evolution.
