Descripción
Sumario:Objective: To explore the proposals of the political parties on health and maternal and child health in the Peruvian general elections of 2021 ". Material and methods: Quantitative, descriptive study of secondary sources. The government plans were downloaded from the Electoral Platform of the National Elections Jury(JNE), and the proposals of the registered political parties were analyzed in relation to health and with emphasis on maternal and child health. Results: From total of parties 100% (n=18), 50% (n=9) present a clear proposal, 44% (n=8) present an ambiguous proposal and 6% (n=1) do not say anything about the Health proposal, respectively. Maternal and child, 11% (n=2) present a clear proposal, 28% (n=5) present an ambiguous proposal and 61% (n=11) do not say anything, respectively. Conclusion: Half of the political parties are not clear about what to do in the Health sector and specifically on Maternal and Child Health. The decision to vote for a political party must be based on the reading and analysis of their government plan proposals, not on polls, less on the position found in an opinion poll.
