Sumario:Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the vulnerability of pregnant women with SARS-CoV-2 infection, which is why it is necessary to know more about this disease to characterize preventive health services. Objective: To determine the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of pregnant women with COVID-19 treated in the Obstetric and Gynecological Emergency of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins EsSalud 2020 National Hospital. Materials and Methods: Descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional study in 322 pregnant women with SARS-CoV- infection. 2 and termination of labor between March to December 2020, meeting selection criteria; The technique was documentary, reviewing medical records and service records, capturing epidemiological and clinical variables in a data collection sheet validated by experts. Statistical software Stata 16.0 was used for data analysis. Results: The epidemiological characteristics were age between 20-34 years in 60.87%, average 31, the minimum 15 and maximum 45 years; 34.47% with higher technical studies; 85.71% are married / cohabiting; with dependent work in with 50.31%; 56.52% had contact with an infected person; 45.65% are multigesta; 82.61% with less than 6 prenatal care, where 58.07% was not timely; 72.98% with full term pregnancy; 96.58% single gestation; Premature rupture of membranes in 23.60% and 90.68% culminated in cesarean section. The clinical characteristics were 62.73% are asymptomatic; 50.62% presented comorbidity, being overweight / obesity in 27.33%, and arterial hypertension with 18.01%; the main indication for caesarean section was iterative caesarean section in 41.78%; blood group and factor O (+) predominated; presence of leukocytosis, lymphopenia and thrombocytopenia in moderate and severe cases; 4.97% needed oxygen therapy; there were 2 cases of maternal deaths. Conclusions: Pregnant women with SARS-CoV-2 infection are asymptomatic, they were not controlled, primarily caesarean section due to obstetric causes, a large percentage presented comorbidity such as overweight / obesity and arterial hypertension, preventable pathologies.
