In this sense, we analyze the advantages, disadvantages, basic guidelines, and documents involved in order to structure a BTS project within the framework of national legislation and legal institutions. In addition, an analysis is carried out on the need to have a particular regulation on this type of projects, according with the market needs and without this being a disincentive to its use.En este artículo se plantea una primera aproximación a los proyectos built to suit (BTS) desde un punto de vista económico y legal, tanto para facilitar a los operadores jurídicos su entendimiento como para dar sentido y pautas claras respecto de su estructura, importancia y potencial uso en el mercado peruano actual. En este sentido, analizamos las ventajas, desventajas, pautas básicas y documentos involucrados para poder estructurar un proyecto BTS en el marco de la legislación e instituciones jurídicas nacionales.
