That is the reason why the Peruvian government has stablished a percentage for the hiring of these community in the public sector (5%) and the private sector (3%) in order to provide them greater participation in the formal labour market and improve their life quality.The present article is based on an investigation about the employment quota system and its impact on the Peruvian labour market for people with disabilities. Based on the normative context, statistical information and compared experience, the author proposes mesures that can be implemented in the interests of greater labour insertion.La discriminación que sufren las personas con discapacidad se ve reflejada en diversos aspectos; siendo el acceso a un puesto de trabajo, el más vulnerado. Por ello, el Estado peruano ha establecido un porcentaje de su contratación en el sector público (5%) y en el sector privado (3%) a fin de brindarle mayor participación en el mercado laboral formal y mejorar su calidad de vida.El presente artículo se basa en una investigación sobre el sistema de cuota de empleo y el impacto en el mercado laboral peruano de las personas con discapacidad.
