Through a mixed methodology, we sought to know the meanings that 105 people who work for pay attribute to “Work” and “Family” in times of health emergency. Natural semantic networks were used to explore meanings and simple correspondence analysis to establish associations. The results obtained provided evidence about the meaning of work and family as social constructions, which are part of the individual and cultural identity of people, as well as the significant relationship of these constructs with gender and age.En la actualidad, las transformaciones en la sociedad han permeado a las instituciones del trabajo y la familia. Mediante una metodología mixta se buscó conocer los significados, que 105 personas que trabajan remuneradamente, atribuyen al “Trabajo” y la “Familia” en tiempos de emergencia sanitaria. Se utilizaron redes semánticas naturales, para explorar los significados y análisis de correspondencia simple para establecer asociaciones. Los resultados obtenidos brindan evidencia acerca del significado del trabajo y la familia como construcciones sociales, que forman parte de la identidad individual y cultural de las personas, así como de la relación significativa de estos constructos con el género y la edad.De nos jours, les transformations dans la société ont imprégné les institutions du travail et de la famille. Grâce à une méthodologie mixte, on a cherché à connaître les significations que 105 personnes qui travaillent contre rémunération attribuent au « Travail » et au « Famille » en cas d’urgence sanitaire. Les réseaux sémantiques naturels ont été utilisés pour explorer les significations et l’analyse simple de la correspondance pour établir des associations. Les résultats obtenus fournissent évidences sur la signification du travail et de la famille en tant que constructions sociales, qui font partie de l’identité individuelle et culturelle des personnes, ainsi que sur la relation significative de ces constructions avec le sexe et l’âge.Atualmente, as mudanças na sociedade têm permeado as instituições do trabalho e da família. Por meio de uma metodologia mista, buscou-se conhecer os significados que 105 pessoas que trabalham por remuneração atribuem a “Trabalho” e “Família” em tempos de emergência de saúde. Redes semânticas naturais foram usadas para explorar significados e análise de correspondência simples para estabelecer associações.
