Sumario:Abstract The evaluation of the levels of engagement in the public servants of a military entity that performs the role of essential service in a context full of uncertainty generated by the impact of Covid-19 and its aftermath, is the primary objective of the article. Critical scenarios allow you to discover the resources and strengths, individual and collective, that engaged workers demonstrate. Engagement is a construct that positive psychology develops, based on Humanist theory and Organizational Behavior theory. Engagement is conceptualized as the mental and emotional state of the worker that identifies and involves him with his work performance for the benefit of the organization. The research is developed under the Positivist paradigm that supports the quantitative approach; the scope is descriptive level, the basic type, and non-experimental design, applied in a single time. In this military entity, the study population is distributed as 55% military personnel and 45% as civilian personnel. The electronic survey and the UWES-17 questionnaire qualified as a standard instrument for international validation were used. The sample was made up of 100 servers from the military entity, to evaluate the perception of feelings in their work role and that through their dimensions determine the presence of engagement in them. The results showed that 79% of public servants present high levels of engagement. It is concluded that the public, military and civil servants of the military entity in the critical context are firm and constant in the application of their best effort, with great capacity to face adversity, proud of their work role, as well as involved and rooted in their work.   Key words: Engagement, critical situation, public servers, military entity.
