Descripción
Sumario:This paper reports the preliminary results obtained from the study of asymptomatic bacteriuria in School Children population located in "El Ermitaño" (a marginal community in the outskirts of Lima) conducted during two years. The incidence is 0.74% and the annual conversion index is 0.55%, both results in the range reported by other authors. Comments about the efficacy of the method and the finding of glycosuria raising a possible explanation, are presented.
