A través del análisis de datos, recolectados a través de fuentes primarias y secundarias, los hallazgos se contrastaron con las Directrices del legado del COI para determinar que el modelo GEO puede ser una iniciativa innovadora de legado educativo que muestre resultados positivos tangibles y sustentabilidad probada en beneficio de la población de Río de Janeiro, así como una potencial iniciativa de aplicación en futuros megaeventos deportivos.
