Por ello, el objetivo de la presente investigación fue analizar las representaciones sociales de las y los estudiantes de un colegio público de Huamanga en Ayacucho sobre el CAI. Para ello, se hizo uso de un abordaje cualitativo con un diseño de análisis temático en el marco de la teoría de representaciones sociales de Serge Moscovici. En relación a los principales hallazgos, se identificó que el núcleo central de las representaciones sociales sobre el CAI es que fue una época de terror. De igual manera, se explicita el rol violento del gobierno y de Sendero Luminoso durante esta época. Así como también, se establecieron representaciones sociales como “el CAI ocasionó abusos e injusticias contra la población” y “la violencia se dio por la incapacidad del Estado para atender las demandas de la población”. Finalmente, se establece el rol principal de la familia y sus experiencias en el desarrollo de las representaciones sociales sobre el CAI.

However, the treatment of CAI remains problematic in schools and families because there is still a dispute in the national common sense regarding this subject. Therefore, the goal of this research is to analyze the social representations of the students of a public school in Huamanga in Ayacucho in relation to the CAI. For this purpose, this qualitative study used thematic analysis and the theory of social representations of Serge Moscovici. The main findings revealed that the central core of social representations about the CAI is that it was a time of terror. Likewise, it showed the violent role of the government and Sendero Luminoso during this time. As well as, social representations such as “the CAI caused abuses and injustices against the population” and “the violence occurred due to the inability of the State to meet the demands of the population”.
