La presente investigación tiene como fin describir las posibles correlaciones entre los estilos de humor y la ansiedad (rasgo-estado) en el personal de enfermería de un hospital oncológico. Del mismo modo, pretende establecer cómo los estilos de humor y la ansiedad (rasgo-estado) varían de acuerdo a diversas variables sociodemográficas y laborales de la población estudiada. La muestra está conformada por 115 enfermeros y técnicos de enfermería (104 mujeres y 11 hombres), entre los 24 y 62 años (M=39.4, DE= 9.1), a quienes se les aplicó el Inventario de Ansiedad Rasgo-Estado (IDARE) y el Cuestionario de Estilos de Humor (CEH) adaptado por Cassaretto y Martínez (2009). Los resultados evidencian una correlación inversa entre las escalas de ansiedad y los estilos de humor adaptativos (humor afiliativo y humor de mejoramiento personal). No se encontraron correlaciones de acuerdo a las escalas de ansiedad y los estilos de humor desadaptativos. A nivel de la variable ansiedad se encontraron mayores niveles de ansiedad rasgo en aquellos profesionales que reportaron padecer alguna enfermedad en contraste con aquellos que no. Además, los niveles de ansiedad estado en profesionales con hijos resultaron ser significativamente mayores que en aquellos que no tienen hijos. A nivel de los estilos de humor se encontraron diferencias en el uso del humor agresivo en el área de SEPIN/TAMO [Servicio de Protección al Inmuno Neutropénico/ Transplante de Médula Ósea] con pediatría y adolescentes y entre el humor de descalificación personal y humor agresivo con el personal que realiza guardias. |

Moreover, the study seeks to find how humor styles and anxiety vary according to sociodemographic variables. The sample is made up of 115 nursing professionals (104 women and 11 men) with ages ranging from 24 to 62 years old (M=39.4, SD= 9.1), who answered the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and the Humor Style Questionnaire (HSQ) adapted by Cassaretto and Martínez (2009). The results show an inverse correlation between the anxiety scales and the adaptive humor styles (affiliative and self-enhancing humor). No correlations were found between the anxiety scales and the maladaptive humor styles. Furthermore, the findings show greater levels of trait anxiety in nursing professionals who reported a disease in comparison with the ones that did not. Moreover the state anxiety levels in nurses that have children revealed to be greater than the ones that do not have children.
