description La portabilidad numérica sigue alentando la competencia en el mercado de la telefonía móvil en el país. En octubre se realizaron 785,678 portaciones –5.8% más que en setiembre– impulsadas por las nuevas ofertas y beneficios que las empresas ofrecen a sus clientes, así como por las facilidades que los usuarios tienen ahora para cambiar de operadora manteniendo el mismo número, gracias a las modificaciones impulsadas por el Organismo Supervisor de Inversión Privada en Telecomunicaciones – OSIPTEL. En el ranking del mes, Movistar, Claro y Bitel aparecieron con posiciones netas positivas, mientras que Entel siguió en posición neta negativa por quinto mes consecutivo. Como resultado, las portaciones acumuladas desde julio de 2014 a octubre de 2018 sumaron 12’571,955, de las cuales 7’160,923 (56.96%) corresponden a líneas Prepago y 5’411,032 (43.04%) a la modalidad Pospago.
