Sumario:The geographic and geological location of the Peruvian Andes, along with the geological processes that have shaped their origin and evolution, have positioned Peru as one of the global leaders in the production of base and precious metals. Additionally, this geological evolution has created various zones with significant potential for the exploration of critical and strategic elements, such as Lithium, Nickel, Chromium, Cobalt, Graphite, and Copper. These elements are essential for electrification and the energy transition. Studies conducted in recent years by the Peruvian Geological Service (Ingemmet) have highlighted the country’s potential for the prospecting of these vital resources.
