Queremos saber cómo estos jóvenes –de zonas rurales y urbanas- perciben cómo ha sido su trayectoria educativa, así como qué recursos identificaron como importantes para avanzar y concluir con su educación secundaria. Aplicando el marco de análisis sobre las múltiples dimensiones del capital social entre sectores sociales vulnerables de Tara Yosso (2005), se destaca el impacto del factor relacional las trayectorias educativas, que supone considerar no solo lo que sucede en el espacio intra-escolar sino también en el extra-escolar para explicar sus recorridos educativos. A partir de ello, planteamos una reflexión más amplia sobre el capital social y cultural que revela aristas e intersecciones entre estos capitales, que permanecen ocultas en el análisis cuantitativo, pero que resultan cruciales para contribuir a una política educativa hacia la equidad.Based on fieldwork carried out in Peru as part of the Niños del Milenio - Young Lives project, which has been conducting a longitudinal comparative study with two cohorts of children since 2000 in four countries, we analyzed the educational trajectories of 22 adolescents living in poverty. We want to know how these young people -from rural and urban areas- perceive their educational trajectory, as well as what resources they identified as important to advance and complete their secondary education. Applying Tara Yosso's (2005) framework of analysis on the multiple dimensions of social capital among vulnerable social sectors, we highlight the impact of the relational factor on educational trajectories, which implies considering not only what happens in the intra-school space but also in the extra-school space to explain their educational trajectories.
