En el presente trabajo se presentan 29 casos de pacientes, cuya queja principal era el dolor dorsal crónico (mayor de 5 meses), quienes habían recibido tratamiento previo; consistente en reposo, antinflamatorios no esteroideos, y/o, agentes físicos. También predominan los pacientes con actitudes cifolordóticas. Encontramos puntos gatillo y bandas palpables en músculos a distancia, además de fenómenos referidos ("parestésicos") hacia el miembro superior. Se demuestra que existe una mejoría significativa luego de la primera a segunda manipulación. El tratamiento se complementó con digitopresión y estiramiento de los músculos contracturados, ejercicios de musculación dorsal y fortalecimiento de abdominales.
