description El objetivo principal del estudio financiero actuarial consistió en evaluar la sostenibilidad financiera de los seguros contributivos administrados por el Seguro Social de Salud (EsSalud), y puntualmente respecto del Seguro Regular y el Seguro de Salud Agrario. El estudio actuarial permitió analizar algunas variables que involucran permanentes desafíos para la institución. Estos desafíos se derivan del aumento de la población adulta mayor y de la disminución de las tasas de natalidad y mortalidad, y coincidentes con el crecimiento económico del país, que experimenta tasas sostenidas por encima del 6 %.
