A quantitative cross-sectional study was developed using instruments adapted from the literature. The sample consists of 211 members of generation Y with three or more years of work experience. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive relationship between work-life balance and job embeddedness in the sample of members of Generation Y. The study is relevant for both academic and professional aspects. The literature reviewed did not present a consensus on work-life balance and its relationship with job embeddedness; therefore the results help to understand this relationship. Likewise, this study focuses on work-life balance independently and not as the absence of conflict. In addition, in response to the demand from literature, young people from Generation Y have work experience in the sample. Considering work-life balance as a relevant factor generates the creation of organizational retention policies.application/pdfInglésengMiddle Tennessee State UniversityUSurn:issn:1081-8510urn:issn:2380-1751https://libjournals.mtsu.edu/index.php/jsbs/article/view/1979/1222info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Work-life balanceJob embeddednessGeneration YEquilibrio entre vida personal y laboralArraigo laboralGeneración Yhttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#5.02.04How to retain Generation Y employees?info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtículoreponame:ESAN-Institucionalinstname:Universidad ESANinstacron:ESANhttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-5298-9733https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7757-7818Acceso abiertoJournal of Small Business Strategy8818131ORIGINALmorales-timana_2021.pdfmorales-timana_2021.pdfTexto completoapplication/pdf455307https://repositorio.esan.edu.pe/bitstreams/23beed41-a82a-4787-ba1a-44024ff2efc4/download4a2f18a59b50be06fa409fb6290e1465MD51trueAnonymousREADTEXTmorales-timana_2021.pdf.txtmorales-timana_2021.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain38946https://repositorio.esan.edu.pe/bitstreams/1a066120-ca15-40a1-89d8-d6fd76fea384/downloadbb37cb0054ad41fd2fe97976ac65626aMD55falseAnonymousREADTHUMBNAILmorales-timana_2021.pdf.jpgmorales-timana_2021.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg6162https://repositorio.esan.edu.pe/bitstreams/b3042809-6faf-458b-bc6c-45b64f1a28e0/download11ed7bf6dab170b77817c656d738f8e5MD56falseAnonymousREAD20.500.12640/3391oai:repositorio.esan.edu.pe:20.500.12640/33912024-11-25 19:41:25.154https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessopen.accesshttps://repositorio.esan.edu.peRepositorio Institucional ESANrepositorio@esan.edu.pe
