El objetivo central de este capítulo es identificar el impacto que el teletrabajo tuvo en el balance trabajo-vida durante la pandemia por la COVID-19. Asimismo, se pretende conocer las ventajas y desventajas del teletrabajo y la opinión de los empleados sobre la gestión del teletrabajo que las empresas empleadoras realizan en épocas de pandemia. Estudiar la experiencia de los teletrabajadores durante una emergencia sanitaria es de suma relevancia, ya que las probabilidades de experimentar una pandemia similar a la COVID-19 en los próximos años es alta. Adicionalmente, el estudio de la relación del balance trabajo-vida y teletrabajo en condiciones extremas podría enriquecer su comprensión, lo cual es útil para la mejora de las prácticas organizacionales en el Perú.

This study aims to understand the relationship that work-life balance and the perception of organizational support to work-life balance have with job embeddedness (construct that measures the reasons to remain in the organization) in the case of professionals belonging to Generation Y. A quantitative cross-sectional study was developed using instruments adapted from the literature. The sample consists of 211 members of generation Y with three or more years of work experience. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive relationship between work-life balance and job embeddedness in the sample of members of Generation Y. The study is relevant for both academic and professional aspects.
