Sabios, abuelos, abuelas de las comunidades recuerdan estas historias y en este trabajo, deseamos revisar los que se ha hecho hasta el momento sobre este tema a fin de valorar estas formas de transmisión, ya que hoy en día se van dejando de transmitir a las nuevas generaciones, producto de muchos factores sociales y la presencia de algunas orientaciones religiosas que cortan la promoción de nuestra cultura. Este documento tiene tres capítulos: el primero presenta conceptos de la Educación Intercultural, el segundo aborda el tema de la tradición oral y, por último, se hace referencia a los cuentos e historias.

Ancestral stories and legends are told in various Andean communities of Peru to transmit the oral tradition from generation to generation. Wise men, grandparents, and grandmothers from the communities remember these stories and in this work, we wish to review what has been done so far on this topic in order to assess these forms of transmission, since today they are no longer being transmitted to the communities. new generations, the product of many social factors and the presence of some religious orientations that hinder the promotion of our culture.
