The problem is that parents have serious difficulties in communicating with their children, because they do not use the same language for communication. An application based on Peruvian Sign Language was developed, using the Unity video game engine, the Leap Motion component, javascript and the C # programming language. This application allows parents or guardians of deaf children to be taught the sign language that allows them to communicate adequately with their children. The tests were conducted with 10 parents in the district of Andahuaylas in Apurímac-Peru. The results show that the parents or guardians are motivated to use the proposed application, and the learning time of the first 9 letters of the alphabet have reduced from 4.1 to 2.1 hours.application/pdfengInstitute of Electrical and Electronics EngineersPEinfo:eu-repo/semantics/restrictedAccesshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/AUTONOMA278283reponame:AUTONOMA-Institucionalinstname:Universidad Autónoma del Perúinstacron:AUTONOMAAugmented realityAuthoring languagesComputer aided instructionLinguisticsSerious games (computing)Teachinghttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#2.02.04Application Based on Peruvian Sign Language for the Literacy of Parents of Deaf Childreninfo:eu-repo/semantics/articlehttps://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85081124384&doi=10.1109%2fLACLO49268.2019.00054&partnerID=40ORIGINALApplication Based on Peruvian Sign Language for the Literacy of Parents of Deaf Children.pdfApplication Based on Peruvian Sign Language for the Literacy of Parents of Deaf Children.pdfVer fuenteapplication/pdf99306http://repositorio.autonoma.edu.pe/bitstream/20.500.13067/1724/3/Application%20Based%20on%20Peruvian%20Sign%20Language%20for%20the%20Literacy%20of%20Parents%20of%20Deaf%20Children.pdf742a5731cf46965e3b156151c5a4412fMD53LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain; charset=utf-885http://repositorio.autonoma.edu.pe/bitstream/20.500.13067/1724/2/license.txt9243398ff393db1861c890baeaeee5f9MD52TEXTApplication Based on Peruvian Sign Language for the Literacy of Parents of Deaf Children.pdf.txtApplication Based on Peruvian Sign Language for the Literacy of Parents of Deaf Children.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain657http://repositorio.autonoma.edu.pe/bitstream/20.500.13067/1724/4/Application%20Based%20on%20Peruvian%20Sign%20Language%20for%20the%20Literacy%20of%20Parents%20of%20Deaf%20Children.pdf.txt43aabbe0e94af9f457ec95897a8f0822MD54THUMBNAILApplication Based on Peruvian Sign Language for the Literacy of Parents of Deaf Children.pdf.jpgApplication Based on Peruvian Sign Language for the Literacy of Parents of Deaf Children.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg5988http://repositorio.autonoma.edu.pe/bitstream/20.500.13067/1724/5/Application%20Based%20on%20Peruvian%20Sign%20Language%20for%20the%20Literacy%20of%20Parents%20of%20Deaf%20Children.pdf.jpg762e4bd6c21c59dc0f1f7860ca954508MD5520.500.13067/1724oai:repositorio.autonoma.edu.pe:20.500.13067/17242022-03-04 03:00:26.35Repositorio de la Universidad Autonoma del Perúrepositorio@autonoma.pe
