Sumario:This article intends to raise awareness about the importance of information technologies as tools that have contributed to develop the teaching and learning process in peruvian Regular Basic Education; students can easily assimilate knowledge in a more immediate and comprehensive manner. However, this is not enough for the student learning process, because often this knowledge cannot be appropriately applied. Evidently, the teacher plays a crucial role understanding and using these technologies, which can be pedagogically important depending on how they are used. Teachers who know and use the ICTS gain new skills and can easily use these virtual tools, for example, they are able to surf the Internet, calculate data, emailing, etc. Despite all these advantages, many teachers today fail to fully understand the usefulness of ICTs in the development of their classes; this is reflects upon the quality of education students receive.
