The promulgation of “Norms UNESCO on Competence on Information and Communication Technologies (TICs) for Teachers” is revitalizing the transnational debate on the reform of the initial and permanent formation of teaching staff and its adjustment to the exigencies of the new society of knowledge. The conclusions of this investigation contribute offering suggestive data on these competences, being useful in the processes of adaptation of the curricula to the requirements of the European Space of Higher Education, as well as in the international developments of curricular convergence arisen from the work of interuniversity networks that work in accreditation and common construction of academic credits.
La promulgación de las “Normas UNESCO sobre Competencias en TIC para Docentes” está revitalizando el debate transnacional sobre la reforma de la formación inicial y permanente del profesorado y su adecuación a las exigencias de la nueva sociedad del conocimiento. Las conclusiones de esta investigación aportan datos sugerentes sobre estas competencias, siendo de utilidad tanto en los procesos de adaptación de los planes de estudios a los requerimientos del Espacio Europeo de Educacion Superior, como en los desarrollos internacionales de convergencia curricular surgidos del trabajo de redes interuniversitarias que trabajan en acreditación y construcción común de créditos académicos
