Confirmar la posición de este artículo que el manejo del paciente no garantiza un desenlace exitoso, pues las enfermedades periodontales usualmente involucran numerosas y complejas causas y síntomas. El propósito de este artículo es proveer un punto de vista general del rol de la terapia periodontal en el tratamiento de las periodontitis. Confirmar la posición de este artículo que el manejo del paciente no garantiza un desenlace exitoso, pues las enfermedades periodontales usualmente involucran numerosas y complejas causas y síntomas.
