Objective: To determine preventive measures compliance on patients with mechanical ventilation in the Critical Care Unit at the Hospital Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen. Materials and Methods: Prospective observational study of longitudinal cut, the population was comprised of the patients that entered the Critical Care Unit. For convenience, a non-probabilistic sample was used, which was comprised of 50 patients who were studied during the months of June to November of 2016. The methodology used consisted of a systematic review and analysis in electronic databases, through the use of keywords. The etiology remains unknown, despite the fact that various theories maintain that it has a multifactorial origin. The diagnosis of vulvodynia is made through a thorough evaluation of the history of pain, sexual history, clinical situation and physical examination.
