El nuevo coronavirus, SARS-CoV2, que produce la enfermedad del COVID-19, se ha convertido en una pandemia mundial; generando una emergencia de interés internacional. Existen principalmente dos formas de contagio: la directa (al toser o hablar) y la indirecta (por contacto con las membranas mucosas orales de la nariz e incluso de los ojos); sin embargo, también ha sido comprobada la presencia del virus en la saliva, generando un aumento de riesgo de contagio en el entorno dental. En consecuencia, los odontólogos son considerados los profesionales de salud más expuestos al COVID-19. Ante la necesidad de un protocolo estandarizado, estricto y efectivo para la asistencia odontológica durante esta situación; en el presente artículo se realizó la revisión bibliográfica, recopilando las recomendaciones más importantes para la atención dental por especialidades.

The purpose of this study was to examine an explanatory model of the meaning of life based on subjective happiness and life satisfaction in young university students in Tacna. A non-probabilistic convenience sampling was carried out, recruiting 150 participants between 18 and 34 years of age in the city of Tacna. Three measurement instruments were applied: the Sense of Life test, the Subjective Happiness Scale and the Satisfaction with Life Scale. The results revealed that the model varied according to the estimator used, the most appropriate being the WLSMV, which showed acceptable indexes (X2/gl=0.19; CFI=1.00; TLI=1.02; PFNI=0.79; SRMR=0.03; RMSEA=0.00), making it the most appropriate option. Alveolitis is a painful complication that occurs in the postoperative period and can be caused by different reasons. The objective of the present work was to determine the predisposing factors for the appearance of alveolitis, which shows symptoms on the second or third postoperative day. Sex, age, area of extraction, infectious processes with the presence of anaerobic microorganisms, pericoronitis, among others, are some of the risk factors.
