Objetivo: Identificar la relación entre violencia física, psicológica, sexual o por abandono, contra la mujer (la madre) infligida por su pareja y la salud mental de su hijo adolescente en el Perú. Métodos: Análisis de un subconjunto de la muestra de la base de datos de los estudios epidemiológicos en salud mental realizados desde el 2003 al 2012 por el Instituto Nacional de Salud Mental “Honorio Delgado-Hideyo Noguchi” (se utilizaron las bases correspondientes a mujeres unidas y a sus hijos adolescentes, emparejando los datos de ambas poblaciones). About one-third of patients with major depressive disorder do not respond to antidepressant therapy, resulting in a condition known as treatment-resistant depression (TRD). The objective of this review is to evaluate the available evidence on the effectiveness and/or efficacy of the drug esketamine as a therapy in cases of TRD, with a primary focus on the sociodemographic and methodological characteristics of the available studies. An exploratory systematic review of the topic was conducted using the key terms “esketamine” and “treatment-resistant depression.” Clinical trials that included efficacy and/or effectiveness outcomes were selected.
