El presente estudio tiene por objetivo identificar y analizar los patrones de interrupción de estudios para este nivel educativo en el caso peruano en este contexto de pandemia, estableciendo así los factores que posibiliten una mejor respuesta de políticas públicas para la población estudiantil más afectada. Para ello, se utiliza la información auto reportada de las universidades en el Sistema de Recolección de Información de Educación Superior (SIRIES), provista por la Dirección de Política para el Desarrollo y Aseguramiento de la Calidad de la Educación Superior Universitaria (DIPODA) del Ministerio de Educación del Perú. Finalmente, se espera que la investigación oriente la realización de políticas sociales sobre el tema.

Como parte de los esfuerzos de priorización de líneas de investigación en el ámbito de la educación superior en el Perú, el Proyecto Mejoramiento de la Calidad de la Educación Superior (Procalidad) convocó a especialistas en gestión y a miembros de la academia para la conformación de mesas de trabajo.
