During postgraduate studies included in master's and doctoral programs, there are various factors that have a positive or negative influence on students during the development of research work leading to the formulation of their thesis projects. La presente investigación tuvo por objetivo determinar si existe una incidencia de factores internos y externos en el desarrollo de la investigación científica en estudiantes de posgrado. Como metodología se consideró una investigación básica de nivel explicativo con diseño no experimental, siendo la muestra un total de 180 alumnos de la unidad de posgrado de la Facultad de Educación en el 2023 bajo una selección no probabilística, a quienes se les aplico una encuesta, la cual fue sometida a pruebas de validez y confiabilidad. Para el análisis de datos se usó como técnica estadística regresión logística multinomial dando como resultado la confirmación que los factores internos y externos inciden en el desarrollo de la investigación científica en estudiantes de posgrado.
