The objective of this article is to value the relevance of risk management in supply chains. That is why a group of tools for risk analysis and evaluation were selected and applied in a stakeholder process of a Cuban real estate chain. It was realized using the BestLog case method. The study is classified as qualitative, descriptive and exploratory. It was realized a study of seven tools for the identification of risk with the study of the literature on this subject. The principal results are the identification of the attributes of each tool and the risk matrix of this study case. The theoretical value of this work is the systematization of risk tools, and the practical value is focused on determining actions to mitigate risks in the Cuban case study, and also learning lessons after the initial application of the selected tool.

This study aims to assess the integration into a hotel chain and characterize its stakeholders and weaknesses. A quantitative and descriptive approach with interviews and the analysis-synthesis of secondary sources was employed. The integration was evaluated using a checklist of seven dimensions and applying Cronbach’s alpha reliability model. The results indicate an integration below the maximum level and identify four elements—suppliers, facilities, service departments, and reception—as well as 29 internal and external stakeholders. The service departments showed the greatest weakness, requiring strategies, policies, and improvements in information, infrastructure, and training. These findings are key for enhancing competitiveness in the hospitality industry.

The objective of this article was to design an inventory control system for a toy store in Puyo, Ecuador. Between November 2018 and February 2019, we characterized the actual situation of inventory management in the company in the first stage of the research; in the second stage, we designed the inventory system. For the analysis and design of the inventory management system of the toy store we combined two procedures, one unrelated to the characterization of the existing inventory system and the other related to inventory planning. We identified that the merchandise in the store was not codified and that the store lacked a storage system for its merchandise. We discovered that the stock available could not be identified. In addition, we determined the inventory parameters as a basis for the design of the automated system. An adequate inventory management will guarantee a timely supply o...
