In the labor market, the average salary offered by private sector companies is higher than that of the public sector; however, the number of workers employed in public agencies is greater. While it is true that private companies pay more, it is also true that the required standards are greater and are related to the business unit's value generation. The aim of this doctoral thesis seeks to demonstrate whether the remuneration offered is associated with the number of workers by type of sector. To this end, historical series of the behavior of the variables are analyzed, which is why this research is classified as quantitative; in addition to being correlational due to the aforementioned search for associations.
