Se reporta a Galeocerdo cuvier, conocido como tiburón tigre, como nuevo registro para la diversidad de tiburones en la costa centro del Perú. Este nuevo registro se fundamenta en la recolección de dos ejemplares capturados en las zonas de Tambo de Mora y la Antena, del departamento de Ica. La identificación de los ejemplares de 98 cm y 95 cm de LT permitió la ampliación de la distribución geográfica de esta especie hasta Ica, Perú; estableciéndose un registro documentado de su presencia en las costas peruanas.

Two new records of the tiger shark Galeocerdo cuvier (Péron & Lesueur, 1822) are reported from artisanal fisheries along the central coast of Peru. The specimens were incidentally captured during fishing operations targeting Myliobatis peruvianus and Pseudobatos planiceps. The first individual was caught in the Bajada de Cañete fishing area (Lima Department) and landed at the Lagunilla Artisanal Fishing Landing Site (DPA) on 11 July 2023; it measured 91 cm in total length (TL). The second specimen was caught off Yumaque Beach (Pisco, Ica) and landed at the San Andrés DPA on 1 September 2023, with a TL of 95 cm. Both individuals were captured using 10-inch gillnets. These occurrences took place during the anomalous warming event associated with the 2023 Coastal El Niño.

A 68 cm LM specimen was captured between 13°50'00"S and 77°08'00"W at 50 meters depth. A brief description of the species is given, with taxonomic observations and comments on its geographic distribution and fishery.

Se estudió el efecto de la concentración de 2, 5 y 10 mL L-1del efluente del procesamiento de la flor Tagetes erecta “marigold”, sobre el crecimiento poblacional y el contenido de lípidos de la microalga Scenedesmus acutus, en laboratorio. El mayor crecimiento poblacional al quinto día de cultivo de Sc. acutus se obtuvo con 5 mL L-1 con 24,17 x106cél. mL-1; mientras los menores promedios estuvieron con 2 y 10mL L-1 con 19,71 x106cél. mL-1 y 21,70 x106cél. mL-1. La mayor tasa de crecimiento (μ) al quinto día de cultivo para Sc. acutus, fue obtenido con 5mL L-1 con 0,531 día-1; mientras la μ fue menor con 2mL L-1 0,490 día-1. This work reports the unusual presence of species of the Carangidae family in Pisco province coast (13.5° S), department of Ica, which occurred during the El Niño costero 2017 event. Four species were observed: Caranx caballus, Caranx caninus, Oligoplites saurus y Selene brevoortii were captured with the “cortina agallera” fishing gear. During the El Niño costero 2017 in the study area, temperatures above 26 °C and moderately high salinities (> 35.1 ups) were recorded, conditions would have favored the displacement of these species, frequent in the north of Peru, towards higher latitudes.
