The present research had relevance because the management interventions can favor both variables and consequently the patients. The objective of this research was to relate teamwork and job satisfaction in nurses at the Ventanilla hospital. The qualitative research, non-experimental and descriptive-correlational design were used. The sample consisted of 71 nurses, non-probabilistic sampling was used. The technique used was the survey with a questionnaire that had two parts: Perception of teamwork and job satisfaction, with 16 questions each. Objective: Identify neonatal pathologies or conditions that influence the prolongation of hospital stay in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Materials and methods: An observational, retrospective, case-control study was carried out; in neonates hospitalized in the NICU, during the period 2015-2019, considering their perinatal and postnatal diagnoses as factors to be evaluated, as well as hospital stay. Two groups were divided: cases (prolonged stay) and controls (non-prolonged stay). The collected data were processed in the SPSS v.23 program, obtaining the OR and the Binary Logistic Regression.
