En el número 1 del volumen 38 de su revista, se publicó un artículo original con el título de “Prevalencia y factores asociados a la tuberculosis y las micobacteriosis en pacientes positivos para HIV en Bogotá”, de Beltrán- León, et al., el cual amerita algunos comentarios. En Perú, el tratamiento quimioprofiláctico de la tuberculosis está establecido para los contactos domiciliarios y extradomiciliarios de pacientes con diagnóstico confirmado de tuberculosis pulmonar, sin antecedentes de enfermedad activa, y con comorbilidad asociada (por ejemplo, infección por HIV) o sin esta, en tanto que los pacientes con enfermedad tuberculosa activa, se tratan con los esquemas vigentes.

Objective: Identify the level of knowledge in sexually transmitted infections in fourth and fifth year high school students from three educational institutions in a district with a high incidence of STIs - Chiclayo 2018. Materials and methods: An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study that included 540 fourth and fifth secondary students from the schools "10836 La Aplicacion", "Cristo Rey" and "Mariano Melgar"; An anonymous data collection form was prepared and with informed consent and consent; that collected information on the general characteristics and level of knowledge in sexually transmitted infections.
