Through the scale “Perception Teaching for Families Experiencing Psychosocial Risk” applied to 175 teachers in training, conducted an exploratory factor analysis (EFA). The AFE, with an explained variance of 43.9%, reveals the existence of four factors or dimensions: Implications Parental Education, features personological Attributive, Parental Participation and Attribution Genealogical. The subsequent descriptive analysis reports that there is a tarnished image by teachers of vulnerable children and their families. They are perceived to these low conditions for education, controversial personality and disinterest in their education make them highly susceptible to academic failure. Attributive features the familiar context of origin, glimpsing parents with a low level of parental involvement and competition.

Objective: to characterize sexual initiation and sexual risk behaviors that accompany the exercise of sexuality among young people between 15 and 29 years of age in Chile. Methodology: with the results of the Tenth National Youth Survey in Chile, through an inferential statistical analysis and the application of logistic regression models, the main descriptors of sexual initiation are profiled, with emphasis on precocity, formality, and preventive behaviour. Results: according to the data, young men and women initiate sexually at early ages, however, they privilege the formality of the bond and there is a greater presence of preventive behaviour compared to the last decade. Conclusions: the importance of developing socio-educational interventions aimed at modifying risky sexual behaviors, intervening mainly on young people’s attitudes towards prevention, is emphasized.

Objective: To model by statistical means the risk levels of refraining to undergo a papanicolaou test among Chilean women according to sociodemographic variables. Materials and methods: National Socioeconomic Characterization Survey (CASEN). Sample of 73,324 cases, according to CASEN’s data. Modeling by decision trees to establish the profile of women who refrain from undergoing a papanicolaou test, and then analyze the reasons for that decision. Results: The risk of refraining to undergo a papanicolaou test varies considerably and depends on variables such as other cancer preventive tests (not undergoing a mammography), adulthood stage (late phase), and marital status. The traditional lack of information and access is replaced by personal reasons as the frequent excuse for not undergoing a papanicolaou test on a continuous basis. Perception of unusefulness and lack of time cause this...

This article explores the results of Teacher Evaluation in Chile during the last decade, especially those of the teacher portfolio and its subdimensions. The results show that, during the last years, unsatisfactory performance in the Teacher Evaluation has increased, mainly among male teachers and those who teach History. As regards the portfolio, it is the instrument with the lowest average results each year, especially its indicators of curricular emphasis and use of error for learning; the binary logistic regression indicates that the most favorable profile for an adequate performance in this instrument is linked to the female gender, secondary education, and the mathematics subsector. The conclusions discuss the role and usefulness of the portfolio in Teacher Evaluation and educational policy.
