Introduction: Sexuality is part of life, from birth and throughout our existence. The WHO states that it is our right to have gratifying and enriching sexual relations, without coercion and without fear of infections or unwanted pregnancies. Objective: To determine the relationship between Attitude and the Use of Contraceptive Methods in Obstetrics students at the Scientific University of Peru-Iquitos. Materials and Methods: Quantitative study of descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective correlational design, surveying 140 female students out of the 219 who were enrolled in the 2015-1 academic semester. Se tuvo una muestra total de 220 pacientes incluidos en el estudio, a 110 se les practicó NTS (definidos como CASOS) durante su gestación, a las cuales se las comparó con 110 a las que no se les realizó NTS durante su gestación (definidas como CONTROLES), haciendo una relación de 1/1. Mas del 50% de los test no estresantes practicados son reactivos, un 30.9% son indeterminados y solo un 14.5% resultaron no reactivos. En las características socio demográficas el mayor porcentaje lo conforman mujeres jóvenes, pero el NTS se realizó con mayor frecuencia en mujeres de 40 años a más; respecto al estado civil la gran mayoría eran convivientes; en el grado de instrucción 142 gestantes lograron solo la secundaria pero mayor porcentaje de realización de NTS tienen las de superior. The general objective of this study was to explain the influence of contraceptive practices on pregnancy prevention among first-year students at the Faculty of Education and Humanities of Iquitos, 2023. An explanatory methodological approach was employed with a bivariate, field, and cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 175 students, who also formed the sample. For data collection, two questionnaires previously validated by experts in the field were used, administered through the survey technique. Conclusions: The simple linear regression analysis revealed that contraceptive practices have a significant influence on pregnancy prevention among first-year students at the Faculty of Education and Humanities of Iquitos, 2023.
