Descripción
Sumario:The general objective of this study was to explain the influence of contraceptive practices on pregnancy prevention among first-year students at the Faculty of Education and Humanities of Iquitos, 2023. An explanatory methodological approach was employed with a bivariate, field, and cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 175 students, who also formed the sample. For data collection, two questionnaires previously validated by experts in the field were used, administered through the survey technique. Conclusions: The simple linear regression analysis revealed that contraceptive practices have a significant influence on pregnancy prevention among first-year students at the Faculty of Education and Humanities of Iquitos, 2023. The obtained p-value (p = .000), lower than the established significance threshold (α = 0.05), allowed the rejection of the null hypothesis, confirming that the adoption of contraceptive methods is a determining factor in preventing unwanted pregnancies within this student population.
