Objective: This article aims to determine the factors associated with business mortality in the province of Huánuco. Methodology: A quantitative and descriptive approach was adopted to analyze business mortality in the province. The sample was selected through proportional stratified sampling, dividing the population into strata based on economic activity and business size. Simple random sampling was applied in each stratum, resulting in a sample of 157 entrepreneurs. Results: Entrepreneurs in Huánuco perceive a significant economic impact, with over 69% indicating a major impact. The critical importance of effectively managing economic and external factors for business survival is highlighted. Conclusion: The perception of entrepreneurs in Huánuco underscores the critical relevance of efficiently managing economic and external factors to ensure business survival and success.
